Welcome to -'The Rainton Meadows Arena'Rainton Meadows Arena is probably one of the largest venues in the North East and tipped to become the focal point of all light enterta inment and sporting events.
We are situated close to the A690 between the two main arterial roads in the North East, the A1(m) and the A19. Strategically positioned with access to the Cities of Sunderland, Durham and Newcastle some 20 miles from Newcastle International Airport, there is also a fast railway link with all the major U.K locations. Car parking is a plus, with over 700 available bays. We also have a designated landing ‘pad’ for helicopter landings.
The venue has a capacity for 2000 people with a seating capacity (on round tables) for 1500. This is divided between two floors. The ‘Willow Suite’ (on the ground floor) has three licensed bars. It is designed to be used for large formal dinners ,conferences, sporting events etc., or the ‘Roseberry Suite’ with it’s spacious balcony, overlooks the ‘Willow Suite’ - With it’s own private drinks facility it is ideal for small seminars. V.I.P. receptions or Private Dinners etc.
We recently hosted a major charity event for the ‘Sir Bobby Robson Foundation’ (which eventually raised in excess of £175,000.00) Creatively called ‘The Night Of All Knights’ The evening commenced with a champagne reception followed by a five course dinner  Music ,sport and Laughter with Sir Bobby Robson, Sir Bobby Charlton, Sir Alex Ferguson, in conversation with Richard Keys from ‘Sky Sport’ was brilliant. It culminated with a ‘STAR’ Live performance by Mick Hucknall lead singer of ‘Simply Red’
In addition our unique and imposing multi-functional ‘Pavilion’ situated at the front entrance will be capable of greeting some 350 guests prior to their entrance into the ‘Willow Suite’ This pavilion will add another dimension to an event such as an AV introduction ,light entertainment, drinks reception etc. and was recently used at the launch of the new ‘Renault Megane’ saloon car.
The venue is equipped with, Wi-Fi –Video Conferencing – Large Screen Productions – A West End Stage together with a technical lighting facility. Our in-house sound is coupled with lighting to a major rig situated over a large dance floor. We will create the 'look and feel' that you want to achieve with creative production techniques using our audio-visual team. Whether launching a new product –conference/ exhibitions - hosting sportsmen’s dinners, a Christmas party, fashion / wedding shows or such sporting events as boxing, dancing , darts, football presentations etc. we are here to fulfil your needs with real competitive prices.
Weddings at the ‘Rainton Meadows Arena’ are once again, ‘a speciality of the house’ We are registered for ‘Civic Weddings’ and many ‘Asian and Multi-Cultural’ weddings have enjoyed our hospitality.
